These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the laundry collection and delivery services provided by West Midlands Laundry Co. ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Service Description
West Midlands Laundry Co. provides:
- Wash & Fold: Everyday laundry washed, dried, and folded
- Wash & Iron: Items washed and professionally ironed
- Dry Cleaning: Specialist cleaning for delicate and formal garments
- Ironing Only: Professional pressing service for clean clothes
We offer free collection and delivery within our service areas across the West Midlands. Standard turnaround time is 24-48 hours. Express service (within 24 hours) is available for an additional charge.
2. Booking and Cancellation Policy
Booking
- Orders can be placed through our website at any time
- You must provide accurate contact and address information
- A booking confirmation will be sent to your email address
- Please ensure someone is available at the collection address during the selected time slot
Cancellation
- 24 hours notice required: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled collection are free of charge
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before collection may incur a cancellation fee of £5.00
- No-shows (failure to make items available for collection) may be charged the full delivery fee
- To cancel or reschedule, please contact us by email or phone
3. Pricing and Payment Terms
Pricing
- Prices are displayed on our website and are subject to change without notice
- Wash & Fold is charged per bag; other services are charged per item
- Orders under £17.99 are subject to a £9.99 delivery charge
- Orders of £17.99 or more qualify for free delivery
- Express service incurs an additional charge of £14.95
Payment
- Payment is required at the time of booking
- We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe
- All prices include VAT where applicable
- You will receive an itemised receipt via email
4. Liability Limitations
While we take the utmost care with your items:
- Maximum Liability: Our liability for any lost or damaged item is limited to 10 times the cleaning cost of that item, up to a maximum of £100 per item
- Claims Period: Any claims for damage or loss must be made within 24 hours of delivery
- Excluded Items: We are not liable for damage to items with existing defects, items with incorrect care labels, or items not suitable for cleaning
- Valuables: We recommend not including items of exceptional value. Items over £50 in value should be declared at booking
- Colour Fastness: We are not responsible for colour bleeding in items that are not colourfast
- Shrinkage: We follow care label instructions but cannot be held liable for shrinkage that occurs despite following these instructions
Our Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with our cleaning, we will re-clean the item free of charge. If still unsatisfied, we will refund the cleaning cost for that item.
5. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
